Still looking great, after 30 years of heavy use!

Beach House in Stone Harbor, New Jersey

In 1968, Wallace and Martha Gordon began building their dream beachfront home in Stone Harbor, New Jersey. Over the years, it has been updated, remodeled and redecorated numerous times. But one thing hasn't changed: the Corian® surfaces in the bathrooms.

Corian® was still in its infancy in 1968. But the Gordons were keenly aware of the advantages of this new DuPont material. And they wanted it in every bath of their beach home.

Still lovely after 30 years

Two double and two single Corian® One-Piece Vanity Top & Bowl units in Olive Mist, one of the original four Colours of Corian®, are still in place today. After more than 30 years of continuous use by the Gordon family, friends and summer renters, they remain as beautiful as the day they were installed.

And what may be the world's first shower stall crafted in Corian® stands ready to rinse away sand and suntan oil for many generations to come.

"Subsequently, we've built three more new beach homes and, based on our previous experience, Corian® was the automatic choice for the bathrooms and the kitchens," say the Gordons. "In fact, each time we build now, we design the kitchen, bathrooms, powder rooms and wet bar areas around Corian®. We've found that it adds great resale value."
